Course Description:

Prerequisite: ETP 3000.  This course is designed to provide students with a working understanding of the financial management process in entrepreneurial ventures.  Students will examine the process of financial forecasting for a new venture, effective financial management of an emerging business, sources of financing, bootstrapping, and exit planning.

Course Objectives:

Entrepreneurial Financial Management students will learn a broad array of skills and tools to more efficiently and effectively manage scarce resources in an entrepreneurial venture, including: 

  • managing the cash flow of an entrepreneurial business at various stages of development.
  • creating accurate financial forecasts.  
  • securing external sources of financing. 
  • bootstrapping techniques in marketing, administration, fixed assets, and many other areas.
